EXHIBIT DESIGN
While working as a graphic designer at Design Dimension, Inc., I had the opportunity to work on many museum, lobby, and visitor center projects. In all cases, I worked with the design team to create a graphic language, room layout, panel system and artifact organization.
Between 2012 and 2016 I had the pleasure of working on several significant projects including:
- The Hunley Conservation Lab, North Charleston, South Carolina
- Cone Mills, "The Fabric of Memory", Greensboro, North Carolina
- Dairy Heritage Museum, Raleigh, North Carolina
- Pfizer, Lobby Exhibit, Sanford, North Carolina
- LORD, Lobby Display, Cary, North Carolina
- Carolina Theater, Historic Exhibits, Durham, North Carolina
- A.L Wilkerson, M.D. Nature Preserve Park Exhibit, Raleigh, North Carolina
- Mordecai Historic Park Visitor Center, Raleigh, North Carolina
- Wake Forest School of Law Display, Winston Salem, North Carolina
- 4-H Visitor Center, Ellerbe, NC
- Billy Graham Exhibit, North Carolina Museum of History
My other duties included: meeting with clients, rapid iteration, developing logos and branding as needed, designing wayfinding systems and signage, making print/cut files, and editing videos for exhibit spaces. These are some of my favorite projects of all time, and being a part of the DDI team was an amazing experience and solidified my love for museum work.
